A guest column in the Bloomington paper by a local white activist urges the liberal white community to look deeper into themselves to find racism which is everywhere, all the time and explains everything.
My comment:
This is a ridiculous exercise by someone convinced white people are the source of all evil in the world. She examines the well-meaning white community in Bloomington with a microscope and finds "microaggressions" and racism everywhere. It is now fashionable among self-hating white liberals to rant about the meaningless phrase "white supremacy" to demonstrate their liberal credentials. Demonising whites may make Ms. Applegate feel better about herself but it will only alienate most of us.
